We’ve all seen good companies suffer by neglecting to invest in optimized websites. What these companies don’t realize is that with a few meta data tweaks and some off-page promotion, they could see results far beyond anything they’ve experienced before, and these simple adjustments would cost hundreds, not thousands.

Meanwhile, some companies still spend big bucks on full-page or half-page ads in trade publications. These media still have their place among industry insiders, but a strong web presence can do much more at a fraction of the cost.

Our colleagues in the Green Business and Clean Tech world are constantly assaulted by advertising account executives pushing standalone print ads or print/online advertising platforms, sometimes with enticements of free editorial or advertorials. These platforms may work to some extent, but there’s no way to be sure.
